Ruth Ireland Blandford

Ruth Ireland Blandford, 81, of Bayboro passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Grantsbrook Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was the bookkeeper for Pamlico County Board of Education for awhile then managed multiple Munchie Mart stores before retiring from Pamlico Marine as their bookkeeper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe & Mae Ireland; brothers, Samuel, Wesley, Bobby Jay, and Harry Ireland; sisters, Helen Broughton and Jean Norman; and grandson, Corey Day.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Duke Day (Mandi) and Clyde “Timmy” Day (Kelly Curtis); grandchildren, David Brandon O’Neal, Michelle Day, Nicholas Day, Autumn Day, and Hunter Day; and great-grandchildren, Conner and Reid O’Neal.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, August 11th at Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
