Shirley Rice Burns Gaskill

Shirley Rice Burns Gaskill, 76, of Cove City died Monday, June 11, 2012, at home.

She was a member of Cove City Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star, Trenton #86 as well as the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Gaskill; son, Fredrick Michael Burns, III and wife, Lori, of Newport News, Va; two brothers, Melbie L. Rice and wife, Millie and Jake Rice and wife, Lisa, both of Alliance; sister, Gloria Preston of New Bern; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 15, at Sandhill Cemetery, Reelsboro with the Rev. John Moran officiating.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday night at Bryant Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to one’s favorite charity.
