Bernice Estelle Sears

Bernice Estelle Sears, 80, of Alliance died October 2, 2012, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

She was born in Abington, Mass., to the late Wesley B. Sears and Ethel R. Sears.

She graduated from Rockland High School, Rockland, Mass., and Westfield State Teachers College, Westfield, Mass. For 41 years, teaching school was her profession.

She is survived by her sister, Janice S. Davis and brother-in-law, Arlen “Dave” Davis of Grantsboro, and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 4, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Pamlico, 11146 NC Hwy 55, Grantsboro, NC 28529.
