Lennie Powers Stowe

Lennie Powers Stowe, 91, left her earthly home in Silver Hill on November 9, 2012, and went to her heavenly home. Her family was all around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivey E. Stowe; her parents, Stacy and Mariah Powers; brother, Forrest Powers, and granddaughter, Jo Lynn Mercer.

She is survived by one son, Gary E. Stowe and wife, Tammy of Silver Hill; two daughters, Gloria Mercer of Silver Hill and Gayle Thomas and husband, John, of Spring Garden; seven grandchildren, Robbie Mercer, Audrey Potter, Mark Thomas, Amy Thomas, Jill Dietz, Beth Wood, and Jana Woolard; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Monday, November 12, at Silver Hill Christian Church with the Rev. Danny French and Rev. Charles Hardison officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Paul Cemetery, Silver Hill.

The family will receive friends at the home, 2723 Hwy 306 S., Grantsboro.
