Wade Lanier Powers, 65, formerly of Arapahoe, died at his home in Louisiana on November 14, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Powers, his mother, Lucy Banks Powers and his brother, Robert Powers, Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Powers of Louisiana; two sons, Derrick Powers of Louisiana and Scott Powers of Texas; two granddaughters, Savannah and Reagan Powers of Louisiana; and his former wife and life-long friend, Ruth Carey Powers.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2012, at Sandhill Cemetery with the Rev. Owen Lupton officiating and military honors by Pamlico County Veterans Honor Guard.
