Lena Ruth Willis Hardison

Lena Ruth Willis Hardison, 79, of New Bern, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013, at home.

She was a loving wife, mother, granny & “GG” and was a member of Rock of Zion Original Free Will Baptist Church, Grantsboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee & Ruth Willis.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, Dalton C. Hardison; her son, Dalton C. Hardison Jr. and wife, Tina, of New Bern; her daughter, Sharon H. Brinson and husband, Gary, of New Bern; brother, Lee Willis and wife, Caroline, of Raleigh; sister, Rowena Miller of Alliance; four grandchildren, Kimberly B. Potter and husband, Derek, of Alliance, Megan Brinson of Greenville, Brandon Hardison of New Bern and Ryan Hardison of New Bern; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter Potter, Dylan Potter and Bryce Gooding.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Lewis officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Greenleaf Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
