Lillie Lee Banks

October 15, 1906 — February 16, 2013

Lillie Lee Banks, 106, of Bayboro died Saturday, February 16, 2013, at home.

She was a member of Rock of Zion Free Will Baptist Church where she was also a member of the choir. She was active in the Women’s Auxiliary, Bayboro Chapter of Eastern Star and Home Demonstration Club. She enjoyed fishing and was an avid game player especially cards.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Banks, Sr. and granddaughter, Karen Hudson Stanley.

She is survived by one son, Myron M. Banks, Jr. and wife, Pam, of New Bern; two daughters, Jeanette Hudson and husband, Richard W. “Papa Doc”, of Bayboro and Rosalie Peacock and husband, George, of Grantsboro; six grandchildren, Terry Vaugh, Richard Hudson, Jr. and wife, Christie, Lisa Millar and husband, Greg, David Peacock, Dianna Wheeler and husband, Craig, and Brian Banks and wife, Emily; 12 great-grandchildren, Luke Vaughn, Hudson Vaughn, Ben Stanley, Trey Hudson, Christian Hudson, Lillie Grace Hudson, Chase Millar, Kyla Millar, Kristen Wheeler, Kaitlyn Wheeler, Maya Banks and Leo Banks.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 18, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Penny Dollar Farmer and the Rev. Johnny Gainey officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Grantsboro cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Pamlico, PO Box 959, Bayboro, NC 28515, or Pamlico County Historical Association, PO Box 33, Grantsboro, NC 28529.
