Mary Olivia Mcdaniel Watson

Mary Olivia McDaniel Watson, 87, of New Bern passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at home.

She was a member of Broad Street Christian Church. She graduated from Atlantic Christian College and retired from Craven County School System as Assistant Superintendent of Finance.

She is survived by one son, Joe Watson and wife, Terrie, of New Bern; granddaughter, Barbara Watson of New Bern; sister, Doris Burkett of Trenton; and brother, Vance McDaniel and wife, Reapa, of Garner.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 18, at Greenleaf Memorial Park, Lakeside Chapel, with the Rev. Laura Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Broad Street Christian Church, 802 Broad Street, New Bern, NC 28560.
