Trixie Rowe Potter

November 2, 1914 — July 9, 2013

Trixie Rowe Potter, 98, of Alliance passed away peacefully Tuesday night, July 9, 2013 at Grantsbrook Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was the daughter of the late Henry Lawrence Rowe, Sr. and Amanda Muse Rowe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Rex Potter, her brothers, Hal & H.L. Rowe; her sisters, Christine Alfred Jarman and Phoebe Rowe Barnette, and grandsons, Timmy Carawan and Hal Potter, Jr., and son-in-law, Paul Bruce Brooks, Sr.

She was a member of Mt. Zion Original Free Will Baptist Church in Cash Corner. She retired from the cafeteria of the Pamlico County School Systems. She also worked many summers in the cafeterias of Camp Sea Gull and Camp Caroline.

She is survived by three sons, Virgil Potter (Sandy)of Bayboro, Larry Potter(Linda)of Bayboro, Hal Potter(Linda)of Bayboro; three daughters, Della Carawan(Bill)of Burlington, Linda Brooks of Alliance, Janice Daniels, (Harvey) of Alliance; one sister -in law, Selma Rowe of Bayboro; fourteen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 12 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Roach and Rev. Bob Yates officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Celestial Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
