Thelma Hines Buck

Thelma Hines Buck, 79, of Alliance passed away Monday, September 30, 2013, at home.

She attended Bayboro Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Herman Buck; daughter, Cathy Spencer and husband, Claud of Alliance; her brother, Alton Hines of Beckley, W.V.; three sisters, Edna Jarvis and husband, J.C., of Norfolk, Va., Betty Hartman of Greer, S.C. and Linda Saulter and husband, Charlie, of Bridgeton; two grandchildren, Stacy Nelson and husband, Craig, of Grantsboro and Clay Spencer of New Bern; and one great-granddaughter, Savannah Nelson.

Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 3rd at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Fitzgerald officiating. Entombment will follow immediately in Greenleaf Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home and at other times at the home, 1446 Old Bay River Rd.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Pamlico, 11146 NC Hwy 55, Grantsboro, NC 28529.
