Julius Eldon Hardison, Sr., 85, of Alliance passed away Friday, October 18, 2013, at home.
He opened Bay River Service Station in 1974 then founded Hardison Tire Company in 1976. During retirement he loved to R.V.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Hellen Hardison; his four sons, J.E. Hardison, Jr. and wife, Cheryl, of Bayboro, Timmy Hardison and wife, June, Gray Hardison and wife, Phyllis, and Barry Hardison and wife, Jennifer, all of Alliance; brother, John Bonner Willis and wife, Elizabeth, of New Bern; grandchildren, Ryan (Stephanie), Travis (Autumn), Tyler, Nicolas, Jillian, Crystal (Hudson), Paige, Chase and Maci; great-granddaughter, Abigail Grace Hardison; and beloved dog, “Peanut”.
The family would like to thank Kim Lawrence for all her love and care during his illness.
His funeral will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dwayne Boyd officiating. Entombment will be in Paul Cemetery.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Pamlico, 11146 NC Hwy 55, Grantsboro, NC 28529.
