Richard Henry Atkinson
October 12, 1935 — October 18, 2013
Richard “Dick” Henry Atkinson, 78, of Ernul died Friday, October 18, 2013, at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Atkinson; his son, John R. Atkinson of Connecticut; his daughter, Debra Atkinson Wallis of Connecticut; his brother, Ernest April of Wilmington; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 22, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Dixon and the Rev. Kenny Connor officiating. Interment will be in Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Crystal Coast Hospice House, 100 Big Rock Weigh, Newport, NC 28570.
