James Franklin Foreman

James Franklin Foreman, 88, of Lowland died Wednesday, December 25, 2013.

He was a life long member of the VFW and a WWII Veteran, a retired tug boat Chief Engineer for 40 years with the Maritrans Company, and a retired farmer.

He is predeceased by his wife, Dorcas "Libby" Foreman.

He is survived by two sons, Larry Foreman (Beth) of Lowland, Franklin Foreman (Brenda) of Suffolk, VA; a special niece, Peggy Ross of Reelsboro; one sister, Rosalie Paul of Bath; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Lowland Community Cemetery with the Rev. Gene Lupton and Elder Gary Scheier officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home, 3574 Lowland Rd., Lowland, NC.

In lieu of flowers the family requets memorials be made to Hospice of Pamlico, 11146 NC Hwy 55, Grantsboro,NC 28529
