John Paul Zubia

John Paul Zubia, 24, of Alliance had his going home, Thursday, February 13, 2014.

He was a linebacker and left tackle with the Pamlico County High School football team and was also a wrestler and on the track team.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Virgil U. and Virginia Rae Lockey and his paternal grandfather, Cesario Zubia.

He is survived by his parents, Paul & Sina Zubia of Alliance, his son, Collin Cash of Dobson, NC; his sister, Christina (Cha-Cha) Nicole Zubia of Grantsboro; two brothers, Santiago “CJ” Rios, Jr. and Daniel “Budda” Santiago Rios, both of Alliance; nieces and nephews, MaKayla & Leland Rios, Yazmin-Rae & Yianelli Olguin, and Marcos & Michael Garcia, Ayden; and lots of family and friends.

His funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 20 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow immediately in Cowell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday night at the funeral home and at other times at his parent’s home, 228 Cowell Rd., Alliance.
