Elizabeth Rountree Hanna, 88, of New Bern passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

She was married to Ret. Major Edward L. Hanna Jr., US Army Reserves, who passed away in 1978.

She is survived by two sons, Edward L. Hanna III and wife, Betty, of New Bern and Steven M. Hanna and wife, Linda, of New Bern; nephew, Ed Stallings and wife, Joyce, of Georgia; nieces, Mollie Caton and husband, Gary, of New Bern and Debra Fuller and husband, Rubert, of New Bern. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 20 ^th at the Lakeside Chapel at Greenleaf Memorial Park with The Rev. Marquita L. Hutchens officiating.
