Lawrence Paul

Lawrence Paul, 80, of Alliance died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

He was an active member of Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church and active with the Gideons. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service and from U.S. Civil Service, Cherry Point after 20+ years. He passionately loved his wife, children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, of 60 years, Letha S. Paul; two sons, David Paul of Raleigh and Christopher Paul of Goldsboro; two daughters, Susan P. Kelemen of St. Louis and Belinda P. Stowe of Alliance; and eight grandchildren.

His funeral will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, April 10 at Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in Paul Cemetery, Arapahoe.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesday night at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Arapahoe Free Will Baptist Church, PO Box 117, Arapahoe, NC 28510.
