Naomi Broughton Cahoon

Naomi Broughton Cahoon, 83, of Arapahoe passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

She was a member of Bethany Christian Church where she was a deaconess and the church organist for over 50 years, she also taught piano for over 20 years. She was a shrinette.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Garland Cahoon; one son, Doug Cahoon and wife, Janci, of Arapahoe; one daughter, Cynthia Jackson and husband, Kos, of Hertford, NC; four grandchildren, Steven Cahoon and wife, Gabrielle, of Whitefish, MT, Cathy Cahoon of Seattle, WA, Amber Dancy and husband, Obie, of China Grove, and Kos Jackson III of Elizabeth City.

Her funeral will be held 2 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2014 at Bethany Christian Church with the Rev. Merritt Watson officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Don Lee Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Bethany Christian Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 156, Arapahoe, NC 28510.
