Devi Wayne Koonce, Sr.

Devi Wayne Koonce, Sr., 53, of Cove City passed away Monday, June 23, 2014.

He was an avid musician, a loving son, brother, husband, dad and grandfather and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Koonce; his parents, Carson and Pauline Koonce of Cove City; his son, Devi Wayne Koonce Jr. of Morehead City; two daughters, Hannah Cooke and husband, Ricky, of Vanceboro and Toni Gail Koonce of Greenville; one brother, Ashley Koonce of Cove City; and four grandchildren, Craig Cooke, Rick Cooke, Alexia Cooke and Rylee Jo Koonce.

His funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 26, at New Bern Church of God with Dr. David Salmons and the Rev. Mike Scott officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Koonce Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
