Mary Louise Kiger Newman

Mary Louise Kiger Newman, 79, of Grantsboro passed away August 12, 2014, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

She was a member of Silver Hill Christian Church and the 60+ Club. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Newman.

She is survived by three sons, Frank Newman and wife, Kathy, of Aurora, Tom Newman and wife, Karen, of Grantsboro, and Sam Newman and girlfriend, Sherri, of Grantsboro; one daughter, Sue N. Pressey and husband, Paul, of Ayden; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 15 at Silver Hill Christian Church with the Rev. Rex Horne and the Rev. Penny Dollar Farmer officiating.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Bryant Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to either Silver Hill Christian Church or Paul Cemetery Fund, 1903 Hwy 306 N. Grantsboro, NC 28529.
