Katie Simpson Brinson Baker

Katie Simpson Brinson Baker, 94, of New Bern, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Twin Rivers Nursing Center.
She was a member of Bridgeton FWB Church.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Brinson of New Bern, Ben Baker of Greensboro and Jeff Baker of Jasper; three daughters, Rachel Smith of New Bern, Lois Kessman of Virginia Beach, Va., and Mary Scharr of Richmond, Va.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 5 at Bryant Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Amity Christian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
