Alice Lupton Rawls

Alice L. Rawls entered into the comfort of her Lord & Savior on September 1, 2014, ten days from her 100th birthday.

She was a charter member of Reelsboro Christian Church.

She is survived by one son, Phillip A. Rawls Sr. and wife, Betty, of Washington; one daughter, Cynthia Benton and husband, Frank, of Camden; six grandchildren, Phillip Rawls Jr. and wife, Linda, of Oriental, Betty Jean Hamby and husband, Lance, of Reelsboro, Christopher A. Rawls and wife, Dawn, of New Bern, Pamela B. Brown and husband, Scott, of Hertford, John L. Benton and wife, Becky, of Carthage, and Karl W. Benton and wife, April, of Hertford; eight great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Ester Lupton; husband, Guy L. Rawls; daughter, Viola Rawls; grandson, Johnathan Rawls; great-grandson, Christopher M. Rawls; son-in-law, John M. Benton Jr.; one sister and five brothers.

Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 3rd at Reelsboro Christian Church with the Dr. Robert Cayton officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Greenleaf Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
