William Ray Wetherington

William (Ray) Wetherington, 82, of Trent Woods passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014, at home.

He attended Trinity United Methodist Church, was a member of St. John’s Masonic Lodge #0003 and Elks Lodge and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Clark Wetherington; two sons, Bill Wetherington and wife, Paula, of Trent Woods and John Wetherington and wife, Stephanie, of New Bern; two sisters, Jean Boyd of New Bern and Barbara Wetherington of Kingston, Canada; four grandchildren, Tracey Lewis, Michael Harris, Kayley Wetherington, and Ashley Wetherington; and three great-grandchildren, Alana & Noah Lewis and Sky Harris.

His funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 3rd at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Estes and the Rev. Mike Scott officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Greenleaf Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Shriner’s Childrens Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
