Our beautiful angel, Delphia Ipock Caraway, 55, went home to be with The Lord on Sunday, November 16, 2014.
She and her husband, Sherwood, were members of Concord Christian Church in Florence. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, hero, best friend, simply an amazing woman. She was a “Jill of all trades”, no job too large, no task too small, her drive was paralleled by no other. A woman of many talents, capable of single handedly conquering all challenges, yet nurturing enough to meet the smallest need of her loved ones. She loved with a passion that most people only read about in fairy tales. Her love and influence will guide many throughout the course of their lives, the support she gave and the sacrifices she made will be dearly missed but cherished by all.
She is survived by her “soulmate” of 41 years, Sherwood Caraway; her daughters, Amber C. Spain and husband, Derek, of Florence and Lisa Caraway, also of Florence; her mother, Frances Ipock of Bridgeton; brother, Andy Ipock and wife, Gladys, of Bridgeton; sister, Lori Lee of Ernul; and three grandchildren, Emma, Morgan and Blake Spain.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22nd at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Henry Stephens officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Concord Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
