John Joseph Mcdonagh, Jr.

John Joseph McDonagh, Jr., of New Bern, died peacefully at home on November 23, 2014.

He was a faithful member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was employed at Cherry Point’s NADEP (FRC).

John is survived by his wife, Elsie (Bea) Barker McDonagh at home; daughter, Pamela McDonagh Clark (Michael); and grandson, Jonathan Clark of Moody, AL; two brothers, Mark (Cathy) of CT, and Dan (Ruth) of MD.

Friends and family will be received at 1 pm. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 26. Memorial service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Michael Bentley officiating. A private graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Joe Glass at 11 am on November 26, at the New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
