Swinton Houston Bennett
August 31, 1947 — December 18, 2014
Swinton “Buddy” Houston Bennett, 67, of Alliance died Thursday, December 18, 2014, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
He was a member of Bayboro Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from maintenance with the Pamlico County Schools and retired from Commercial Fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Dolly “Dot” Bennett; three sons, Jason Bennett of Florida, Daren Bennett, of Greenville and Bobby Jones of the home; one daughter, Terrie Pipkin of Reelsboro; sister, Linda Bennett of Reelsboro; 12 grandchildren, Sarah Sanders, Britany Morgan, Lindsey Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Christopher Bennett, Susie Bennett, Sage Bennett, Ivy Bennett, Jason Bennett Jr., Isabella Bennett, Jonathan Keel, and Michael Keel; and eight great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 22nd at Bayboro Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will be in Gilbert Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Bayboro Missionary Baptist Church, PO Box 276, Bayboro, NC 28515.
