Mary Elizabeth Caton

Mary Elizabeth Caton, 76, of Grantsboro died Saturday, December 20, 2014, at home.

She was a member of Rock of Zion OFWB Church where she was also in the ladies auxiliary. She was also in the auxiliaries with D.A.V. and V.F.W. and retired from being a U.S. Postal carrier for Pamlico County.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles Caton; two sons, Ricky Caton of Hatteras, NC and Tracy Alan Caton of Grantsboro; one brother, Vernon Goodwin of Edgewater, Florida; one sister, Doris Sawyer of New Bern; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 24th at Rock of Zion OFWB Church with the Rev. Ray Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Dixon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday evening at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Rock of Zion OFWB Church, PO Box 381, Grantsboro, NC 28529.
