Harvey Lee Whaley

Harvey Lee Whaley, 72, of Bridgeton, passed away December 21, 2014, at home.

He was attended Passion Church of God in Vanceboro. He served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elizabeth “Libby” Whaley; one son, Curtis Whaley and his significant other, Shannon Copley, of Lexington, Va.; one daughter, Tammy Whaley Hill and husband, Homer, of Yorktown, Va.; two grandsons, Brian Willis and Dylan Hill, both of Yorktown, Va.; brothers, Pete Whaley of Cameron, NC, Johnnie Whaley of Pulaski, TN, and William Whaley of Matthews, NC; and sister, Sue Smith of Orangeburg, SC. He also left behind his best friend/pet lab, Ruth.

His funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 24th, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Debra McPeak officiating. Interment will follow in Bridgeton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home.
