Lorraine Hardison Woodard

Lorraine Hardison Woodard, 65, of Grantsboro passed away Monday, December 29, 2014, at home.

She attended Edward Christian Church and Arapahoe Methodist Church. She retired after 32 years as a supervisor at Carolina Telephone/Sprint and was a lifetime Gold member of C.B.N.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jules Woodard; one son, Jay Christian Woodard of New Bern; two daughters, Dawn L. Woodard of Grantsboro and Lori Sue Woodard of Chocowinity; brother, Dennis Hardison of Arapahoe; sister, Susan Hardison of Arapahoe; and six grandchildren, Olivia McDaniel, Jayla Woodard, Tyler Day, Ava Woodard, Blake Gaskill, and Dylan Casper.

Her funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Register and the Rev. Wesley Taylor officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Greenleaf Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Bryant Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
