Delma O'Neal White

Delma O’Neal White, 71 of Grantsboro passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at his home.

He was a member of Amity Christian Church where he served as elder and deacon.

He owned and operated a water, sewer & utilities company for thirty-five years. He also owned and operated Hildel & H&D Land Development Company. He was an avid deer hunter and loved to shrimp and fish and enjoyed other outdoors activities with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda White of the home; one son, Neal White of Grantsboro; one daughter, Tina Hancock of New Bern; one sister, Martha Sue Southern of Reelsboro; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two nephews, Mike White of Havelock and Andy Morton of Reelsboro and his special friend, “Little Bit”.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7th at Amity Christian Church with the Rev. Lynn Maxwell and Rev. Kenny Conner officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Bryant Funeral Home.
