Joseph Connor Bennett

Joseph “Joey” Connor Bennett, 37, of Stonewall passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

He was a member of Stonewall United Methodist Church. He enjoyed coaching Babe Ruth League Baseball.

He is survived by his wife, Casie Bennett; father, George Bennett of Stonewall; mother and step-father, Susan Whitman and Steve, of Cedartown, GA; sons, Payton and Jaxon Bennett of the home; daughter, Brittany Cahoon of the home; and four sisters, Debbie Messerli of Cave Junction, OR, Eva Anderson of Sun Valley, Cali., Nancy Owens of Bridgeton and Brandy Bennett of Cedartown, GA.

His memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10th at Stonewall United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Register and the Rev. Johnny Gainey officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requested memorial contributions be made to the Bennett Family, c/o First South Bank, PO Box 316, Grantsboro, NC 28529.
