Leonard Miller Davis

Leonard Miller Davis, 93, of New Bern passed away Friday, March 20, 2015, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He served in the Navy and was a WWII veteran and retired from the Civil Service. Leonard lived in Gloucester for 40 years then in New Bern for the past 20 years. He was a walking witness for the Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sarah C. Davis; son, David M. Davis and wife, Jill, of Cove City; daughter, Jane D. Styron of Gloucester; five grandchildren, David “Dave” M. Davis II and wife, Laura Lee of Newport; Joy Davis Laubach of Navarre, Florida, Shane Gibble of Indiana, Johanna Johnson of Vanceboro and Walker Styron of Gloucester; and four great-grandchildren, Ethan Johnson, Thatcher Laubach, Charlie Davis and Elliott Davis.

His memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 28th at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charlene Guider officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, PO box 12867, New Bern, NC 28561.
