Waldon Earl Sawyer

Waldon Earl Sawyer, 76, of Aurora died Thursday, March 26, 2015, at home.

He will be loved and missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Ray Sawyer and sister, Shirley Sullivan.

He is survived by his wife, Sina Sawyer; son, David E. Sawyer and wife, Ruby R., of New Bern; daughters, Mary Catherine Mullens and husband, Alfred, of Reelsboro, Deborah Jean Caraway and husband, Jeff, of Florence, and Barbara Ann Baker and husband, Vernon Jr., of Greensboro; step-son, Marion Mercer and wife, Sherry, of Virginia; two brothers, Jerry Lee Stapleford and wife, Dixie, of New Bern and Kenneth Allen Sawyer and wife, Carol, of Newport News, Va.; sister, Sylvia Ann Ipock and husband, Steve, of Moyock; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 29th at the Lakeside Chapel at Greenleaf Memorial Park with military honors and with the Rev. Dale Clark officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Chocowinity Church of God, 154 Ballard St., Chocowinity, NC 27817.
