Ellis Whitford Cowell, Sr.

Ellis Whitford Cowell Sr., 87, of Alliance passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Swindell Cowell; son, Ellis Cowell Jr. (Deloris) of Dawson’s Creek; daughter, Michelle Cowell O’Neal (James) of Alliance; brother, Clyde Cowell (Hazel) of Alliance; sister, Becky Dixon of Grantsboro; and two grandchildren, Danielle O’Neal and Jacob O’Neal.

His memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Roach officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Pamlico Rescue, PO Box 302, Bayboro, NC 28515 or one’s favorite charity.
