Thomas Linwood Dixon, Sr.

Thomas Linwood Dixon, Sr., 80, of Oriental, was born September 23, 1935 and passed away, Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at home.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oriental, a Master Mason with the Oriental Masonic Lodge, a member of the Pamlico County Shrine Club and the Sudan Gators and was a US Merchant Marine Officer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Christa and Roy Dixon of New Bern.

He is survived by one son, Thomas L. Dixon, Jr. and wife, Teresa, and one granddaughter, Amanda G. Dixon. He is also survived by children of his late wife Marge, step children, Michelle, Bryan and Keith and their families.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Oriental First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Harper officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
