Huey "Dick" Dock Pender

Huey Dock Pender, Jr., 77, of Stonewall, known by his family and friends as Dick Pender, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 27, 2015. He was born on February 17, 1938 in Winnsboro, SC to Huey Dock, Sr. and Clara Turner Pender.
He proudly served in the US Army for 6 years. He was a master carpenter by trade, and worked at PCS Phosphate in chemical maintenance until he retired at 61 years of age, enjoying 17 years of retirement.
His hobbies included fishing, building furniture, reading and enjoying time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Huey Dock Pender, Sr., his mother, Clara Turner Pender, his brothers, James Dozier Pender and Brooks Eugene Pender and his favorite dog Little Bit.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary Edwards Pender; children Kathy Pender, Melissa Pender, Huey Pender, III and Jessica Pender; and one child of the heart, Denise Woodard. He is also survived by his sister, Susan Pender Powers; brother, Robert Pender and wife, Laura; sister-in-law, Lynda Pender; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, October 17, at the Stonewall United Methodist Church.
