Pauline Marie Carawan Henries, 83, of Pollocksville, formerly of Lowland, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
She was a member of Wardens Grove Free Will Baptist Church and attended Maribel Church of God of Prophecy. She loved going to church and drawing pictures for herself and for others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonso “Dover” Henries Sr. and a daughter, Sherry Christine Henries.
She is survived by two sons, Ricky Henries and wife, Patricia, of Reelsboro and Alphonso Henries, Jr. of Bridgeton; three daughters, Sheila Novak and husband, Bill, of Pollocksville, Sandra Henries of Bayboro and Sherry Henries of New Bern; step-son, Herman Henries of New Bern; brother, William “Billy Ray” Carawan of New Bern; sister, Juanita Taylor and husband, Bert, of Swansboro; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 5th at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Sadler Jr. and the Rev. Phillip Lewis officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Carawan Family Cemetery, Lowland.
The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
