John Edward Huber Sr., 70, of Reelsboro passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015, at home.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of New Hope Christian Church. He enjoyed singing and playing music and had a real talent for restoring old cars and carving wood into beautiful works of art. He dearly loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthies “Matt” and Verna Maelzer Huber and siblings, Lawrence “Larry” Huber, Michael “Mick” Huber and Helen McKensey.
He is survived by his son, John Huber Jr. and wife, Angela of Bloomington, Indiana; sisters, Laura Hardison of Reelsboro, Suzanne Baker of Tonganoxie, Kansas, and Irene Spring of Independence, Missouri; two grandsons, Zane Alexander Huber and Jackson Mace Huber; best friends, Danny Bennett and Mr. Don; and many loving nieces and nephews.
His memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 27th at New Hope Christian Church with the Rev. Eddie Phoenix officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Disabled American Veterans, c/o Sid Weiner, PO Box 13563, New Bern, NC 28561-3563.
