Marilyn Krieger Ryen, 81, of Oriental passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 23, 2015.
She graduated high school at age 16, worked until age 26, and began combining work and school attaining a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, a Master’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety and a PHD in the same field. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and the church Women’s Association, she volunteered at the Hope Clinic for nine years, was an active boater, traveled extensively to more than 80 countries and all 7 continents.
She is survived by her husband, George D. Link of 15 years of the home; and one sister, Margaret Fauci of Punta Gorda, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, December 29, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jeremiah Day officiating.
The family will receive friends at 7:30 PM , Monday evening, December 28th at the church.
