Linda Woodard Whorton

Linda Woodard Whorton, 75, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Vidant Medical Center.

She was a member and volunteer of Pitt County VFW and also volunteered with Pitt Co. Senior Center.

She is survived by two sons, Chris Stovenour of Brentwood, Tenn. And Jules Jason Whorton of Greenville; two daughters, Terri Banks of Jacksonville and Kim Garcia of San Antonio, TX; brother, Jules Woodard of Grantsboro; sisters, Vicki Jones of Beaufort and Suzette Nesbit of Aurora; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Her memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 3rd at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Taylor officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society, 2202 Wrightsville Ave. Suite 111, Wilmington, NC 28403.
