Thelma Joy Mccotter

Thelma “Joy” McCotter, 80, of Vandemere, died Friday, February 12, 2016, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

She was a member of Vandemere United Methodist Church.

Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 16th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Roach officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Celestial Memorial Gardens, Cash Corner.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby McCotter and son, Ronnie Pipkin.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandy McCotter of New Bern; one stepson, Robby McCotter of Vandemere; one sister, Shirely Traister of Arizona; and two grandchildren, Ronny McCotter of New Bern and Chelesy McCotter of Vandemere.
