Robert Taylor Andrews

Robert Taylor Andrews, 82, of Oriental passed away Monday, March 28, 2016, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

He was an active member of Oriental First Baptist Church, the Oriental Tree Board and Oriental Rotary. He loved living in the Oriental community and was involved in many of the town’s activities. He was a craftsman, building boats as a hobby.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Andrews and son, Robert T. Andrews, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Schadie and husband, Stephen, of Rising Sun, Maryland; and two grandchildren, Stephanie Humphries and Kimberly Osborne.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 30th at Bryant Funeral Home.

His memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, March 31st at Oriental First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Harper officiating. Interment will be at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Baltimore, MD.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made in his memory to Oriental First Baptist Church, PO Box 313, Oriental, NC 28571.
