Dewitt William Rice

Dewitt William Rice, 65, of Alliance passed away, Sunday, April 3, 2016 at home.

He was a member of Alliance United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lister & Amanda Rice and a brother, Charles Rice.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Eubanks Rice; son, Tommy Rice of Alliance; step-daughters, Jennifer Speciale of Alliance and Sandra Hartwig of New Bern; step-son, William Rowe of Lowland; brother, Danny Rice and wife, Lulu, of Charlotte; sister-in-law, Donna Rice of Greenville; sisters, Kathy Moore and husband, Bill, of Wilson and Ann Bryce and husband, Steve, of Delaware; and grandchildren, Madison Caroline Rice, Chris, Charles and Aaron Rowe, Clarissa Hartwig, and Megan, Michelle & Bryan Speciale; and one great-grandchild, Ryan Ormond.

His funeral will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, April 7th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Penny Dollar Farmer officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Grantsboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at Bryant Funeral Home.
