Robert Duval Philpott

Robert Duval Philpott, 87, of Arapahoe passed away Monday, April 25, 2016, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

He retired after 21 years of service in the U.S. Navy and was a 32nd Degree Master Mason with Rainbow Lodge No. 479.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters; and his loving wife, Gloria Faye “Bootsie” Philpott.

He is survived by his son, Steven Philpott and wife, Jackie, of Arapahoe; three grandchildren, Michael Philpott (Bobbie Jo) of Arapahoe, Eric Philpott of Virginia and Etha Nicole Johnson (Ches) of El Paso, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Darryl Hendrix Philpott and Hayden Johnson.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College St., Oxford, NC 27565.
