Mary Frances Grimes

Mary Frances Grimes, 88, of Grantsboro passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016, at the Gardens of Pamlico.

She was originally a member of Lowland Pentecostal Holiness Church before becoming a member of Wardens Grove Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing plastic canvas and cooking for her beloved family. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend to all and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, J.C. Potter, Meade Williamson & James Grimes; two brothers; two sisters; and a grandson, James Golden.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathrine Golden and husband, Bennie, of Arapahoe and Barbara Cayton and husband, Baloney, of Grantsboro; sister-in-law, Libby West of Selma; brother-in-law, Claude Potter, Jr. of Raleigh; niece, Pam Wetherington of Clayton; five grandchildren, George Golden, Billy Jack Golden, Renea Gill, Dawn Jones, and Denise Woodard; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 6th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Dixon officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Lowland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Gardens of Pamlico, 22 Magnolia Way, Grantsboro, NC 28529.
