Richard Earl Lloyd

Richard “Ricky” Earl Lloyd, 56, of the South Creek Community, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

He was an avid hunter & fisherman and loved photography.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Lloyd; sister, Donna Lloyd; paternal grandparents, Asa & Harriett Lloyd; and maternal grandparents, Bonner & Dea Daniels.

He is survived by his mother & step-father, Darnell & Brent Smith of South Creek; step-sister, Stephanie Smith of Washington; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and a faithful companion, Gracey.

There will be an informal celebration of life for Ricky on Sunday, August 7th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel at 5:30 p.m. with the Rev. Leslie Whealton officiating.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home from 5 to 5:30 p.m., Sunday.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Aurora Fire & Rescue, PO Box 277, Aurora, NC 27806, or charity of one’s choice.
