Lydie Norman Boyd

Lydie Gray Norman Boyd, 84, of Bridgeton passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and attended Latitude and Temple Baptist Church as well.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin David Boyd, Sr.; son, Marvin D. Boyd, Jr. of New Bern; daughter, Lois Boyd Cornwell & husband, Gordon, of New Bern; brother, Clifton Norman of New Bern; two sisters, Katie Avery of Grantsboro and Janice Heath of New Bern; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Wingard and the Rev. Dwight Williams and officiating. Interment will be in New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
