Luther Clayton Wiggins, Jr.

Luther “Pete” Clayton Wiggins, Jr., 80, of Arapahoe passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by sons, Larry C. Wiggins and Joseph M. Wiggins; and step-son, Ronald James Thompson.

He is survived by his living partner of 36 years, Herta Thompson of the home; son, Thomas Allen Wiggins and wife, Laura, of Winterville; daughters, Jeanette Ward and husband, Tony, of Tuscarora and Cynthia Perell and husband, Dave, of Florida; stepsons, David William Thompson and wife, Carolyn, of Arapahoe and Thomas Michael Thompson of Maryland; step-daughter, Patricia Agnes Simmons and husband, Mark, of Virginia Beach, Va.; brother, Kenneth R. Wiggins and wife, Janice, of New Bern; sister, Annie Flowers and husband, Doug, of Arapahoe; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

His funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, September 4th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow immediately in Rawls Cemetery, Arapahoe.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
