Idell Broughton Robinson

Idell Broughton Robinson, 82, of Oriental passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cephus & Gertrude Broughton; five brothers, William, Randolph, Ralph, James “Skeeter” and Walter Hugh Broughton; two sisters, Della May Broughton and Bernice Murray.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Daniel Spruill Robinson, Sr.; sons, Daniel S. Robinson, Jr. of Kinston and Alvin Dean “Buddy” Robinson of Pace, Florida; daughter, Glenda Jean “GJ” Carawan of Bayboro; brother, Louis Broughton of Reelsboro; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 16th at Greenleaf Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Pamlico, PO Box 6, Bayboro, NC 28515, or charity of one’s choice.

The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to RN Patty Mills, RN Judy Styron, LPN Tonya Jordan, LCSW Catherine Cooper, RN Linda Pence and CNA Hilda Carmady of Hospice of Pamlico County for their care, assistance and love during Idell’s Illness.
