Clara Swaringen Scott

Clara Ann Swaringen Scott, 83, of Grantsboro passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

She was a member of New Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Charles L. Scott Sr.; two sons, Anthony Lynn Raynor of Reelsboro and Timothy Wynn Raynor of Grantsboro; daughter, Rhonda “Sheree” Wainwright of New Bern; brothers, Durwood Swaringen of Pollocksville and Ray Swaringen of New Bern; sisters, Juanita Howard of New Bern and Geneva Rhine of Mississippi; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Her graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 24th at New Bethlehem FWB Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ashley Trogdon officiating.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service in the church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to New Bethlehem FWB Church, c/o Scotty Whitford, 1903 Scott Store Rd. Grantsboro, NC 28529.
