Charles Franklin West

Charles Franklin West, 74, of New Bern passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Annette Flowers West; son, Charles West Jr.; daughter, Dana Crow (Ken); grandchildren, Charles West, Frankie West, Jesse West, K.C. Crow and Zoe Crow; great-grandchildren, Presley Scoby, Penelope Collins, and Parker Collins; brother, Hardy Allen; and sister, Vexie Maguire.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Allen; father, Ben West; and brother, Horace West.

Charles served the Lord and was always quick to lend a helping hand. He was always involved in church renovations and was chairman of the building committee at Tabernacle Baptist Church for the new sanctuary.

His memorial service will be held Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at New Life Church with Pastor Scott Coghill officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to National Association of Free Will Baptists, Stephen Kimbrell Ministry, PO Box 5002, Antioch, TN 37011-5002.
